Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in a human services field. 24 months or more experience in public health or mental health field.
OR Bachelor's degree in a human services field. 48 months or more experience as indicated above. Human services field includes the following disciplines: Social Work, Psychology, Criminal/Juvenile Justice, Special Education, Sociology, Speech Education, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Nursing, Physical or Occupational Therapy, and any related academic disciplines associated with the study of Human Behavior, Human Skill Development, or Basic Human Care Needs
Key Responsibilities
โข Assesses and identifies patients with substance use and dependence issues at Mary Starke Harper
Center, Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility, and Bryce Hospital.
โข Leads and schedules individual and group substance-use classes.
โข Maintains linkages and collaborates with community programs.
โข Provides habilitation groups and levels programs.
โข Participates in treatment planning.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
โข Knowledge of mental health systems and service delivery.
โข Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work activities.
โข Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
โข Ability to establish and maintain contact with other agencies, the general public and community
providers.
