Brightside Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead engaging and supportive group therapy sessions to encourage clients to share their experiences, connect with one another, and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Conducting Individual Therapy: Provide tailored, empathetic counseling to help clients delve into their thoughts and feelings, assisting them in creating personalized coping strategies and action plans.
  • Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and aspirations, ensuring a goal-oriented approach.
  • Progress Monitoring: Utilize various assessment tools to track and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on insights and feedback.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, share insights on complex cases, and aim for the best possible outcomes for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered on assisting young adults, particularly those aged 18 to 30, facing a variety of mental health challenges. We provide evidence-based and holistic treatment programs within our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Your work will significantly influence the lives of young adults navigating complex issues related to mental health, personal relationships, and life transitions.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on client care and outcomes.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working with young adults or in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques tailored for this demographic.
  • Experience with treatment planning and outcome assessments.
