Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Remote Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Provide individual counseling sessions to clients via video chat, focusing on improving their mental health and emotional well-being.
• Encourage open dialogue around emotions and life experiences, helping clients gain insights into their thoughts, feelings, and relationships.
• Act as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining their therapeutic goals and creating actionable plans.
• Conduct evaluations of clients' mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans that utilize a solution-based approach.
• Document client progress and treatment outcomes within our user-friendly therapy platform, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with at Brightside are carefully screened for low-acuity mental health concerns, ensuring that you will be engaging with stable adults who are seeking guidance and support. Your caseload will be tailored to your area of expertise and demographic preferences, allowing for mutually beneficial matches that enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Full licensure in the state of Pennsylvania or the state where you practice, which includes being in good standing to provide therapy independently without supervision. Acceptable licenses include:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature that allows you to build rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in technology, ensuring comfortable navigation of our telehealth platform.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience may be preferred:

• Background in telehealth services or online counseling.
• Previous work in community mental health settings.
