Bright Health Community Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team. This full-time role allows you to provide vital mental health support to clients through virtual therapy sessions, utilizing our secure online platform to promote accessibility and convenience for those seeking help. The ideal candidate will not only exhibit a strong sense of empathy but also possess the expertise to guide clients through their mental health journeys effectively.

About the Organization

At Bright Health Community Healthcare Center, our mission is to enhance mental health support for underserved populations by offering high-quality, tailored services that are accessible from the comfort of home. Our organization is committed to utilizing technology to bridge the gap between therapists and clients, ensuring that individuals can receive the mental health care they need, irrespective of geographical barriers. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and professionalism in every interaction.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while working in a collaborative and supportive virtual environment. Our online platform not only connects you with clients but also equips you with the necessary tools to track progress, maintain client records, and collaborate with fellow mental health professionals on treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients via our virtual platform, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for open communication.
  • Assess your clients’ needs and develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Regularly monitor client progress towards their mental health goals and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of client interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Engage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and strategies to enhance holistic care for clients.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various life transitions. Our focus is on providing care to those who may have limited access to traditional in-person therapy, making your role crucial in providing essential mental health services to individuals across Gresham, Oregon, and beyond.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active licensure as a mental health therapist is essential, including LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on rapport-building and active listening.
  • Comfort with technology and conducting therapy sessions through virtual platforms.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a remote team, demonstrating time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing individual therapy is preferred, particularly in a telehealth setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems that enhance the management of client information.
  • Participation in community mental health initiatives or outreach programs is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

The offered salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and vision insurance options, along with access to supplemental resources to support your well-being.

Career Growth Opportunities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor with Bright Health, you will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops, webinars, and training programs designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health care.
