Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the successful execution of ground-up and renovation construction projects within the K-12 education sector. This position requires a highly motivated professional with proven experience delivering school projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of assigned K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and owners to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor scopes.

  • Oversee subcontractor performance, procurement, and daily field operations.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and contractual standards.

  • Lead weekly project meetings and maintain clear documentation and reporting.

  • Support project team with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists.

  • Foster positive relationships with school districts, clients, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, with a strong emphasis on K-12 school construction.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proficient in project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience with public school district procurement processes and working in occupied campuses.

  • Familiarity with local Houston-area school districts and municipal permitting.
