Dental Assistants at Dental Care play a vital role in supporting our dentists, ensuring smooth patient flow, and creating a positive experience for every individual who enters the practice. You help keep the back office running efficiently by preparing operatories, anticipating provider needs, staying proactive during procedures, and contributing to a clean, organized, and supportive clinical environment.

Prepare treatment rooms by setting up trays, instruments, and materials before each patient.
Mix dental materials, manage instruments, and perform allowable procedures under Arkansas scope of practice.
Document accurate treatment notes and services rendered in the patient record.
Escort patients to and from the operatory and provide clear postoperative instructions.
Monitor patient flow and communicate with the team to keep the schedule running on time.

Review and update patient health histories in accordance with office and state protocols.
Help patients feel comfortable, answer questions, and ensure they understand their care plan.
Chart patient treatment and support accurate, complete documentation.
Notify the appropriate team member if follow-up is recommended after an appointment.

Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
Manage dental laboratory cases, including sending, receiving, and tracking.
Maintain equipment through scheduled preventative maintenance and ensure emergency kits and nitrous/oxygen tanks are ready for use.
Records Management
Securely store amp; manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA and Arkansas regulations.
File patient information, radiographs, and charts accurately.
Prepare charts for upcoming appointments and assist with referral and lab tracking.
Support administration of the recall system as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
