About the Role
Shaggy's is looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our Brandon location. As GM, you'll own the day-to-day operation of a high-volume, full-service restaurant and bar—driving sales, building a great team, and making sure every guest leaves wanting to come back. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in running a tight, profitable, and fun operation.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, consistent service every shift
- Own the location's P&L: manage food and labor costs, control inventory, and hit revenue and profitability targets
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop a strong team across all positions
- Lead by example on the floor during peak periods, supporting staff and engaging with guests
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with health-code and food-safety regulations
- Manage bar operations and ensure full compliance with alcohol service laws and responsible-service practices
- Handle vendor relationships, ordering, and inventory management to minimize waste and shortages
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to protect the Shaggy's experience and reputation
- Support local marketing efforts and community engagement to grow traffic and brand awareness
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of restaurant management experience, with prior GM or AGM experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record managing P&L, labor, and food cost in a full-service, high-volume setting
- Experience overseeing bar operations and a working knowledge of alcohol-service compliance
- Strong leadership and people-development skills; able to build, motivate, and retain a team
- Solid understanding of food-safety standards (ServSafe certification a plus, or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Calm, decisive, and guest-focused under pressure
