Position Details

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM – 11 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Scale at Hire

• Starting Rate: $27.00/hour
• After 90 Days: $27.50/hour
• After 6 Months: $28.00/hour
• After 12 Months: $28.50/hour
• After 24 Months: $29.00/hour
• Thereafter: Merit increases
• Maximum Base Rate: $40.50/hour

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experienced mechanical aptitude. We are seeking candidates with at least five years of experience in packaging and equipment maintenance, with an emphasis on electrical installation, PLC troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine installation and setup
• Control wiring installation and troubleshooting to the component level
• PLC troubleshooting and understanding (programming not required)
• Anchoring equipment
• Running conduit, pulling wire, and conductor termination
• Preventive maintenance and equipment rebuilds
• Maintenance of conveyor systems, robotics, and packaging equipment
• General maintenance and repair duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of packaging and equipment maintenance experience
• Experience with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of:
• • Conveyors
  • Robotics
  • Over wrappers
  • Palletizers
  • Shrink wrappers
  • Casers
  • Air compressors
  • Boilers
• Experience operating boom lifts and scissor lifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment
• Certifications in:
• • Basic Electrical
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Motor Control Relay Logic
  • Schematic Reading

Required Skills

• Ability to use electrical test equipment including:
• • VOM/Multi-meter
  • Clamp-on amp meter
  • Other standard electrical diagnostic tools
• Ability to troubleshoot sensors and photo-eyes and understand their relationship to PLC operation
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders and MAC valves
• Ability to operate and maintain boilers and steam tunnels
