Job description

The Band Saw Operator is responsible for efficiently and safely operating band saw machinery to cut materials according to specified dimensions and requirements. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to maintain equipment to ensure consistent production quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate band saw machines to cut metal, wood, or other materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or measuring instruments
  • Inspect and measure materials before and after cutting to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain and clean band saw equipment to ensure smooth operation
  • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly
  • Keep records of production and materials used
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
