Job description

The Bandsaw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining bandsaw machinery to cut materials accurately and safely according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to handle machinery efficiently to support production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate bandsaw equipment to cut metal, wood, or other materials.
  • Ensure precise measurements and accurate cuts according to job specifications.
  • Inspect materials before and after cutting for quality control.
  • Maintain and clean the bandsaw machinery regularly to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff promptly.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe work area.
