  • Maintain routing systems (e.g., Omnitracs) and assign vehicles based on delivery needs.
  • Coordinate with third-party carriers for overflow or specialized deliveries.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain Driver Qualification files and oversee incident reporting.
  • Conduct safety audits and manage regulatory documentation.
  • Partner with HR to support union agreements and labor standards.
  • Customer Service & Issue Resolution
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Warehouse, and Sales to meet delivery expectations.
  • Resolve transportation-related issues and customer complaints promptly.
  • Align service strategies across departments.
  • Operational Efficiency & Budget Management
  • Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules.
  • Manage transportation budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track KPIs such as delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and driver productivity.
  • Implement process improvements and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support department goals.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 5+ years in transportation, logistics, or fleet management, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • CDL license and/or commercial driving experience preferred.
