Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Receptionist/Ophthalmic Technician role based in Heber City, UT. The Receptionist/Ophthalmic Technician will greet patients, manage check-in and check-out processes, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate patient records. The role includes verifying insurance information, collecting payments, and supporting general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry. Ophthalmic technician responsibilities may include preparing exam rooms, obtaining patient histories, performing basic diagnostic tests as trained, and assisting the ophthalmologist during exams and procedures. The individual in this role will help ensure smooth patient flow, provide courteous and efficient service, and contribute to a respectful, organized clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Receptionist Duties and Clerical Skills to manage scheduling, documentation, and front desk operations.
• Candidates should possess excellent phone etiquette and Customer Service skills to handle inquiries and support a positive patient experience.
• Candidates should possess clear, professional Communication skills for interacting with patients, clinicians, and other team members.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting.
• Prior experience in a medical or eye care office is preferred but not required; willingness to learn ophthalmic technician duties is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical assisting or ophthalmic technology is a plus.
