Dishwasher, Bouzy

Pay: $15.50-$16.50/hour

Position Summary

Bouzy is seeking a dishwasher who can help keep the kitchen, service flow, and overall operation clean, organized, and ready for service. This role supports both front-of-house and back-of-house by maintaining dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen support areas throughout the shift. A strong dishwasher at Bouzy works with urgency, stays organized under pressure, and helps the team keep service moving.

Core ResponsibilitiesDish Station and Cleaning
  • Set up, operate, clean, and break down dish stations, including dish machines and sinks
  • Wash, sanitize, stack, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, and cookware properly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dishwashing station throughout the shift
  • Change water in dish machines and sinks as needed based on business volume
  • Use cleaning chemicals and dilutions properly and safely
Kitchen Cleanliness and Readiness
  • Maintain clean and dry kitchen floors throughout the shift
  • Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Help clean and stock supplies as needed
  • Ensure both front-of-house and back-of-house have clean, dry supplies before dish station breakdown
  • Perform assigned opening and closing side work
Receiving, Storage, and Support
  • Communicate low-stock items to managers in a timely manner
  • Assist with putting away food deliveries promptly and correctly
  • Support the organization of coolers, freezers, and storage areas
  • Maintain trash throughout the shift, including emptying trash and cardboard to proper disposal areas
Team Support
  • Assist with food preparation as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef
  • Help train new dishwashing team members when assigned
  • Work as part of the team by helping others and asking for help when needed
  • Support both FOH and BOH operations as needed during service
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and kitchen sanitation procedures
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to stay organized and work with urgency in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Ability to follow direction and maintain standards consistently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior dishwashing or kitchen support experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of restaurant cleanliness and organization
  • Willingness to learn additional kitchen support tasks
  • Strong communication and team-minded attitude
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment is a plus

This is a physically active support role that requires constant movement, heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and steady attention to cleanliness and organization.
