The Residential Therapist is directly responsible for the mental health treatment planning and service delivery for the residents of the Bourne, Inc. Short Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP). The Residential Therapist has the primary responsibility for the overall delivery of traditional and evidence-based mental health services for Bourne Inc. STRTP program. The Residential Therapist works closely with the STRTP clinical leadership to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for residents of the STRTP program. The Residential Therapist will demonstrate the attitude, behavior, knowledge, and skill necessary to work respectfully and effectively with the multi-disciplinary team as well as exhibit the ability to address the needs of the children and families served by the STRTP program.Utilize Trauma Informed Care philosophy to support and address the needs of the children and families receiving treatment and care in the Bourne, Inc. STRTP program.Provide individual, family, and group therapy as appropriate in accordance with DMH standards and STRTP needs.Collaborate with STRTP team through facilitation of the weekly Treatment Team meetings as the clinical leadCollaborate on a regular basis with Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist to ensure that clients and families are receiving rehab services aligned with their treatment plan, advocacy services and linkage to appropriate community resources.Actively participate in the client/family driven CFT (Child and Family Team) planning process.Responsible for coordinating and facilitating family involvement in treatment through parent education, visitation, family therapy, and other Bourne, Inc. facilitated services.Consult and collaborate with all other Bourne, Inc. STRTP team members, as the clinical lead of the case, regarding treatment goals, treatment needs, and the overall well-being of each clientCollaborate with various external professionals working on behalf of the client and family (including school, community partners, DCFS and DMH advocates, CSWs, Probation Officers, Attorneys, CASA Workers, Mentors, etc.)Provide active collaboration with the legal guardian/family to plan and oversee the residents discharge from Bourne, Inc. STRTP to ensure appropriate support systems are available upon discharge.May coordinate case conferences, discharge planning meetings, and other meetings as assigned to determine the clinical needs of clients and their families.Responsible for accurate and timely completion of treatment progress documentation (i.e. assessments, treatment plans, individual and group progress notes, 30-day reviews, 90-day reviews, outcome measures and TDPs)Attend and participate in Mental Health Department Meetings, in-service, training, supervision, and all other meetings as directed by clinical leadershipProvide Crisis Intervention services as needed and indicated for clients experiencing mental health crisis and requiring clinical assessment and intervention as directed by the program clinical leadership.Ensure appropriate linkage is made to mental health services/aftercare for residents leaving the program as indicated by the Client Treatment PlanResponsible for meeting DMH treatment and documentation contract compliance standards and expectationsAdhere to the 72-hour turnaround requirement for client progress notes and 24-hr turnaround for crisis notesPerform other duties as requested.Master’s degree in social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling or related field; from an accredited graduate schoolLicensed, Licensed eligible, or Waivered per DMHMust be registered and in good standing with the BBS or BOPTraining in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety and/or other Evidence Based Practices is highly desirable (although not required)Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)A thorough understanding of the clinical needs of traumatized children and their familiesFamiliar with the dynamics of co-occurring disordersExperience providing mental health services to the CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) and the LGBTQIA+ populations highly desired.Experience in a STRTP or similar setting or with a similar populationExperience with L.A. County Department of Mental Health & CalAIM documentation standards highly desiredFamiliar with navigating an EHRS (Electronic Health Records System) such as EXYM.Familiar with DCFS mandates and contract obligations in delivery of STRTP services and treatment plans highly desiredAbility to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.Excellent communication and written skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
