Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Home Care facility in Woodbridge, Virginia. Here, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, and allied healthcare professionals. The therapy center is designed with the latest equipment and technology to ensure an optimal rehabilitation experience. You will engage in a weekday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for work-life balance while focusing on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehend and adhere to state practice acts, including regulations dictating the scope of practice for physical therapists.
  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans for patients experiencing functional limitations and disabilities.
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations that include reviewing patient history, performing specific assessments, and documenting results meticulously.
  • Apply evidence-based treatment protocols, continually assessing and modifying plans according to the patient's evolving needs and healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary, and document any changes in patient conditions that may require a modification of the treatment plan, ensuring holistic patient care.
  • Manage discharge planning and follow-up care effectively, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities that reflect the patient’s rehabilitation journey.
  • Stay compliant with corporate and clinical training requirements and adhere to all relevant state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate and treat patients accurately, documenting the necessity for physical therapy in the patient’s health records.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about removing barriers to care and enhancing patient access initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Boost Therapy Center, Inc., you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation due to surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our approach emphasizes personalized care, working closely with each patient to understand their unique circumstances and recovery goals. Qualifications
  • A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
  • Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and preparedness.
Preferred Experience

Experience managing a diverse caseload and familiarity with various rehabilitation techniques and modalities are preferred. Previous involvement in team-based healthcare settings and participation in performance improvement initiatives can enhance your application.
