Written AssessmentAssessments give applicants an opportunity to demonstrate ability to perform essential job functions and evaluate essential skills required for detention duties, including:Following oral instructionsReading comprehensionMemory retentionBasic math skillsDirectional reasoningAll testing materials will be provided during the assessment session. The Sheriff's Office does not provide study materials.Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 60% to pass the written assessment and advance to the physical ability test. 2.
