As a leading solutions provider for the education industry, we are committed to driving affordability, accessibility, and achievement at hundreds of academic institutions nationwide by ensuring millions of students are equipped for success in the classroom and beyond. Together, our teams work to elevate lives through education.

To support this mission, we are seeking a Store Operations Support Representative to provide operational and technical support to store teams, researching and resolving issues that impact day-to-day store operations. This position works with stores and internal business partners to troubleshoot issues, identify recurring trends, and provide guidance on store processes and systems. The role also supports training, knowledge resources, and operational initiatives to promote consistent execution across the store network.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve store support tickets within established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide operational and technical support related to receiving, inventory, system access, reporting, communications, and store processes.
  • Communicate solutions, operational guidance, and best practices to store teams to support effective and consistent execution.
  • Identify, track, and escalate recurring issues and system-wide impacts to support timely resolution and minimize operational disruption.
  • Partner with the Store Support Analyst and cross-functional teams to resolve store issues and improve support processes.
  • Monitor open tickets and follow up with stores and support teams to help ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish knowledge base content and operational resources to support consistent and efficient issue resolution.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, business partners, and stores on systems and operational processes.
  • Support the implementation of new operational systems, processes, and initiatives.
  • Help ensure consistency and compliance with established operational processes across store locations.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • 2+ years of Barnes & Noble College store experience with strong operational expertise.
  • Extensive receiving experience within CORE and advanced knowledge of the SIM/CORE Inventory Management System required.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to issue identification and resolution.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to monitor ticket progress, follow up proactively, and support timely resolution across support teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
