About Bluestone Construction
Bluestone Construction is a growing general contracting company based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We deliver quality renovation and construction projects across New York City and take pride in running organized, professional job sites. We're hiring a reliable Site Supervisor to be our full-time presence on the ground.
The Role
You are the eyes and ears of the job site — every single day. This isn't a desk job. You're on-site, present, and in control. You don't need to be a master tradesperson, but you need to be sharp, dependable, and someone our clients and subs can count on. While based in Manhattan, project locations may occasionally include surrounding NYC boroughs.
What You'll Do Every Day:
  • Open the site and manage daily check-in of all workers and subcontractors
  • Monitor job site safety — flag hazards immediately, keep the site clean and organized
  • Coordinate deliveries: confirm orders are placed, scheduled, and arriving on time
  • Be the on-site point of contact for building owners, inspectors, and visitors
  • Communicate daily progress updates to the Bluestone office team
  • Track who is on site and ensure all workers are authorized and signed in
  • Assist with light coordination tasks as directed by the project manager
What We're Looking For:
  • Reliable, punctual, and cool under pressure — this job requires consistency
  • Confident communicator — you'll interact with owners, subs, and inspectors daily
  • Basic familiarity with construction sites preferred; we will train the right person
  • NYC SST Safety Card (40-hour) preferred, or willingness to obtain before start date
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
  • Smartphone proficient — daily logs, photos, and communications via phone
