Job description

Job Title Construction Manager
Work Location Address San Antonio, TX
Responsibilities: Review construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and 3D models to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements.
Evaluate and support the design of temporary construction structures, including scaffolding and concrete formwork.
Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimize resource utilization and project execution.
Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks, delays, or issues, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Prepare project cost estimates, track budgets, and support cost control initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage change orders and assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget.
Implement and enforce site safety programs, procedures, and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Perform hazard assessments, safety inspections, and incident prevention activities to maintain a safe work environment.
Prepare project reports, documentation, and status updates for management and stakeholders.
Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements: Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, construction processes, and blueprint interpretation.
Experience with project scheduling and construction management software, preferably Microsoft Project (MS Project).
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design and drafting software.
Knowledge of local building codes, construction regulations, and quality standards.
Experience in project planning, cost estimation, budgeting, and change management.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work onsite four days per week and support after-hours, weekend, and critical project activities when required.
Proven experience managing construction safety, quality assurance, and project delivery in fast-paced industrial or commercial environments.
Preferred certifications:
Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
OSHA Safety Certification
