Job description

A multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm specializing in innovative solutions for infrastructure and environmental projects is seeking a Survey Technician 4 to help them deliver accurate, high-quality surveying solutions that support successful engineering and land development projects. In this role, you'll apply advanced field and office surveying expertise, collaborate with licensed surveyors, and leverage innovative technologies to produce reliable data and mapping deliverables at their Reno, NV location.

Your Day Includes

  • Perform topographic, boundary, and construction surveys, monument recovery, control network planning, and field data collection.
  • Process survey data using Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, CAD, and point cloud software to create accurate mapping and legal deliverables.
  • Conduct boundary research, construction calculations, remote sensing analysis, and quality control of survey products.
  • Mentor junior staff, support project planning, monitor schedules and budgets, and provide technical guidance on survey standards.
  • Maintain surveying equipment, document field activities, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate, timely project delivery.

Must Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional surveying experience with proficiency in Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, CAD, and field survey equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record; surveying certifications preferred and ability to work independently while supporting team success.
