Job Summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, provides comprehensive ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers. It manages the design and update of software and web applications for the Buyer Cloud App Team, overseeing project requirements, timelines, release process, and adherence to standards and budgets. The role also tracks industry trends and proposes technical enhancements to drive continuous improvement and team expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
• Oversee the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements, set timelines, and maintain communication for efficient workflows.
• Manage software design and application updates, coordinate roll‑outs, and ensure enhancements meet technical specifications.
• Implement key performance indicators for development processes, advocating for best practices to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Manage deliverables across the team, ensuring adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets while mentoring staff for professional growth.
• Monitor industry technological developments, evaluate external products, and keep the team's knowledge up‑to‑date.
• Develop proposals, software changes, and manage capital expenditure projects to drive innovation and operational excellence.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance, and maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, with a variable schedule as necessary.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading software engineering teams of 4 or more.
• Proficient with Python and Django.
• Understanding of FreeWheel’s Operating Principles and the ability to apply them in day‑to‑day work.
• Customer‑focused mindset, promoting seamless digital experiences and positive customer advocacy.
• Team‑oriented mindset, driving collaboration, openness to new ideas, and participation in feedback systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred; equivalent experience may be considered).
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Certifications, if applicable, relevant to the role.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $137,369.30 – $206,053.95.
