Job Description
Who we are: Bluebonnet Trails is a nonprofit company that has been providing community services since 1997. Over the past two decades, services have expanded to include resources for autism, early childhood intervention, substance addiction, primary health care and more. About the role: The Customer Service Representative provides a variety of clerical duties which include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls, greeting clients and families, checking in clients (virtually or in person), scheduling appointments, insurance verification, completing financial reviews, processing payments (payment plans and copays), data entry, completing reports and providing productivity measures. Within this position, you are responsible for the coordination of provider appointments and managing their schedules along with providing reminder calls to clients. This position works with various workstations and interacts with a variety of individuals and agencies and works in collaboration with all medical and clinical teams within Guadalupe County.
Who you are: An individual who is passionate about helping others, hard-working, honest, and personable. A team-player, go-getter, jack of all trades and an out of the box thinker. One who can handle a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. You also have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Texas Driver's License, knowledge of Microsoft applications, initiative, diplomacy, as well as organizational and time management skills. You must also be comfortable collaborating with an array of individuals including but not limited to adults, children/youth, those in crisis as well as intake and respite units.
Bonus if you have at least one year experience within a medical or hospital setting, have working knowledge of medical insurance and if you are bilingual (English/Spanish).
Location: Seguin, TX
Hourly Salary Range: $17.30 - $21.05
Differential Detail:

  • $.75/hour - Bilingual
  • $1.00/hour - 2 year tenure with BTCS
  • $1.00/hour - Career ladder specialty
  • $1.00/hour - 2 previous experience in a similar role

City Seguin, TX County Guadalupe County Credentials Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to organize workspace and activities using initiative.
Follow oral and written instructions.
Must be able to learn how to input information into an electronic health record.
Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work with clients, families and staff utilizing tact and diplomacy.
Must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the adult, child/youth, crisis, intake and respite units and contractors.
Must have valid Texas driver's license and maintain approved driver's status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Front desk and experience with financials in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred.
