Job description

Design robust robotic systems, end-effectors, and deployment-ready hardware. As a Mechanical Engineer at Blue Sky Robotics, you'll be at the forefront of creating physical systems that operate reliably in real-world environments. You'll work closely with our robotics and software teams to bring innovative automation solutions from concept to production.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for robotic platforms
  • Create custom end-effectors and tooling for specific applications
  • Perform structural analysis and optimization of mechanical components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Prototype, test, and iterate on designs for production readiness
What We're Looking For
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for robotics or automation
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
  • Experience with FEA and structural analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles
