Role Description This full-time, on-site Sales Associate/Appliance Testing role is based in Harrisonburg, VA. The Sales Associate will greet customers, assess their needs, explain product features and differences, and guide them through the purchasing process. The role includes appliance testing and inspection to ensure units operate safely and correctly, documenting test results and reporting issues to management. Daily tasks involve maintaining a clean and organized showroom, updating price tags and product labels, and assisting with inventory movement and floor displays. The Sales Associate will process transactions, handle basic customer service concerns, and collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing retail skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a helpful, service-oriented approach.
• Basic technical aptitude for appliance testing, including the ability to follow testing procedures, use hand tools safely, and identify visible performance issues.
• Organizational skills for maintaining product displays, managing simple inventory tasks, and keeping work areas clean and safe.
• Comfort with point-of-sale systems, basic computer use, and handling payments accurately and securely.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move appliances with appropriate equipment; capability to lift and maneuver moderate weights as required.
• Reliability in attendance and time management, with the ability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including some Saturdays.
• Collaborative mindset, willingness to learn product details, and openness to training in both sales techniques and safe testing procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior retail, warehouse, or appliance experience is beneficial but not required.
