Position Overview

Blue Reef LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a fast-paced renovation project located in Des Plaines, Illinois.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on construction supervision experience with strong knowledge of interior renovation projects, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and project safety compliance.

This is a temporary assignment anticipated to last approximately two (2) months, with the potential for future opportunities based on performance and project workload.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations and subcontractor coordination
• Maintain project schedule and sequencing activities
• Coordinate inspections and closeout activities
• Monitor safety compliance and site logistics
• Conduct quality control inspections and punch list management
• Communicate daily progress updates to project management
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, inspectors, and ownership representatives
• Review construction drawings, RFIs, and submittals
• Maintain professional jobsite documentation and reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of construction superintendent experience
• Strong background in renovation/interior buildout projects
• Experience with institutional, educational, or public-sector projects preferred
• Ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Local Chicagoland candidates preferred
