POSITION SUMMARY

Blue Lane Automotive Solutions has openings for an ADAS Calibration Technician and apprentice. The ADAS Calibration Technician is responsible for performing technical calibrations, ensuring all systems operate effectively in accordance with manufacturer specifications and vehicles are restored to OEM safety and performance standards. The ideal candidate will be experienced in ADAS technology, demonstrating strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship. The ADAS Calibration Technician will be expected to travel between repair centers and will perform dynamic and static calibrations, review scan data, and will work closely with both internal and external teams to ensure all calibration-related procedures are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with OEM and industry standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Perform static and dynamic ADAS calibrations in accordance with OEM procedures and manufacturer specifications.
  • Utilize OEM and aftermarket scan tools and calibration equipment to diagnose, reset, and validate ADAS components following collision repair.
  • Conduct pre-repair and post-repair diagnostic scans to identify faults, confirm proper system functionality, and ensure complete repair.
  • Collaborate with estimators and collision repair technicians to identify required ADAS calibrations and related operations.
  • Accurately document diagnostic results, calibration procedures, and final outcomes in the repair order system.
  • Verify all calibrations meet OEM, safety, and quality standards prior to vehicle release.
  • Maintain current knowledge of ADAS technologies, vehicle systems, and calibration procedures through ongoing training.
  • Ensure calibration equipment, tools, and workspace are properly maintained, organized, and safe.
  • Support team workflow by assisting colleagues and contributing to an efficient, high-quality repair process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills and must be able to work independently onsite while collaborating remotely with the broader ADAS team.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, collision repair or ADAS calibrations.
  • Proficiency with OEM and aftermarket diagnostic scan tools.
  • Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems, including braking, steering, suspension, and electronic control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand repair estimates, calibration procedures, and OEM technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • I-CAR, ASE Certifications and/or OEM-specific ADAS calibration certifications preferred.
  • Annual training required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform consistent physical activity such as standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate various diagnostic and calibration tools safely.
  • Work involves exposure to typical shop environments including noise, dust, and vehicle fumes.
