About the Firm


Our client, a leading Middle Market investment banking advisory firm headquartered in Chicago, is seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Associate to join its Generalist coverage team.


Key Responsibilities


Transaction Execution: Lead execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments across a variety of industries.


Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, participating in meetings, presentations, and ongoing relationship management initiatives.


Valuation & Financial Modeling: Build and review complex financial models including DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis to support live deal execution.


Due Diligence: Coordinate and oversee due diligence processes, including management of virtual data rooms and collaboration with legal, accounting, and other external advisors.


Marketing & Pitching: Assist senior bankers in preparing pitch materials, strategic presentations, and marketing documents for business development opportunities.


Mentorship: Support the development of Analysts and Interns by reviewing workstreams, providing guidance, and fostering professional growth within the team.


Qualifications


Experience: 3–5 years of investment banking experience, ideally within an M&A or generalist advisory environment.


Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution with a strong academic track record.


Technical Skills: Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, PowerPoint presentations, and transaction process management.


Industry Exposure: Broad understanding of corporate finance, transaction dynamics, and key drivers across multiple sectors.


Work Ethic & Attitude: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Licensing: Series 79 and 63 preferred.
