Job description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate II / Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production machinery and facility equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled production equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery
- Install, maintain, and improve equipment to reduce downtime, scrap, and repair costs
- Use electrical/electronic testing equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment safely
- Operate drill presses, band saws, grinders, hydraulic presses, and other maintenance tools
- Perform welding, brazing, and cutting as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Support equipment upgrades, new machinery reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding
- Follow applicable quality, environmental, and safety standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001/45001
- Train and assist other maintenance team members as needed
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree, trade school training, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing:
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical systems
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- PLC-controlled equipment
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment
- Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and make sound maintenance decisions
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding, brazing, and metal cutting experience
- Preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance experience
- Experience working in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing environments
