Job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate II / Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production machinery and facility equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled production equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery
  • Install, maintain, and improve equipment to reduce downtime, scrap, and repair costs
  • Use electrical/electronic testing equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment safely
  • Operate drill presses, band saws, grinders, hydraulic presses, and other maintenance tools
  • Perform welding, brazing, and cutting as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics
  • Support equipment upgrades, new machinery reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding
  • Follow applicable quality, environmental, and safety standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001/45001
  • Train and assist other maintenance team members as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Technical degree, trade school training, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing:
    • Electrical systems
    • Mechanical systems
    • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
    • PLC-controlled equipment
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and make sound maintenance decisions
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding, brazing, and metal cutting experience
  • Preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance experience
  • Experience working in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing environments
