Job Title: Senior VDC Engineer
Location: Oshkosh Wi
Company: Bildt, LLC
Anticipated Salary Range: $70,590 - $90,416
At Bildt, we build more than complex projects, and we build strong relationships, great teams, and lasting impact.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,590 - $90,416 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
At Bildt, we're rethinking how buildings come to life-transforming complex construction challenges into smart, manufacturable solutions through collaboration, innovation, and deep industry expertise. We're a relationship-focused construction company at the forefront of prefabrication, modular delivery, and VDC/BIM-driven execution, and we're looking for a technically curious, people-centered problem solver to join our growing team. In this role, you'll support cutting-edge projects like our upcoming Alaska build, leveraging VDC and BIM tools to coordinate models, review and develop shop drawings, and bring designs from concept to reality. You'll do hands-on production work, collaborate with diverse project partners, and help shape how we continuously improve our processes-all while working alongside a team that values trust, flexibility, emotional intelligence, and a true builder mindset. If you're energized by variety, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to help reimagine what's possible in construction, you'll find a meaningful home at Bildt.
We Are Bildt
  • Our People: We create opportunities for growth, fulfillment, and reaching full potential.
  • Our Partners: We collaborate with trust and respect to drive innovation and shared success.
  • Our Customers: We exceed expectations through advocacy, problem solving, and collaboration.
  • Our Communities: We give back with our time, talents, and resources-elevating dignity and doing good.

Why You'll Love Working at Bildt
  • Employee Owned: Your work fuels our success and your future
  • Purpose-Driven: ESG-focused work aligned with strong values
  • Better Together: Teamwork, trust, and shared accountability
  • Safety First: Everyone home safe every day
  • Career Growth: Real development through mentorship and hands-on learning
  • High-Impact Projects: Complex industrial work that matters
  • Lead & Mentor: Learn today, lead tomorrow
  • Rich Culture: What started as a carpentry shop has grown into a multi-million-dollar company built on relationships and craftsmanship
  • High Performance: By people, strengthened through AI and technology that enhance collaboration, transparency, and results.

At Bildt, high performance starts with strong relationships. We believe the best projects are delivered by teams that trust each other, communicate openly, and take ownership from the field to the office. Our culture blends accountability with support; where learning, mentorship, and collaboration, power results. You won't just contribute to projects that matter; you'll grow alongside people who are investing in your success.
What You Bring
  • Four-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years experience in the AECO industry with hands-on project delivery exposure
  • Working knowledge of design and construction processes and how information moves from design through fabrication and installation
  • Strong experience using BIM and modeling tools, including:
    • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
    • Autodesk Revit
    • Navisworks
    • AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated 3D modeling capabilities to support coordination, detailing, and visualization workflows
  • Ability to identify gaps in design information and proactively drive solutions in collaboration with project, design, and production teams
  • Understanding of constructability and interest in prefabrication, modular construction, and installation methods
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including designers, trade partners, production teams, and field personnel
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and follow through

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to or experience supporting DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) workflows
  • Experience across multiple environments (design, construction, manufacturing, or modular settings)
  • Demonstrated comfort learning and applying new tools, workflows, and technologies as processes evolve
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-moving project environments
  • Curiosity about continuous improvement and how digital tools can enhance production and coordination
  • Unsolicited Correspondence
