Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health status, strengths, and areas of need.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, aligning with patient goals and preferences.
• Run individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing established therapeutic modalities.
• Assist patients and their families in understanding diagnoses, treatment options, and available resources.
• Advocate for patients within the mental health system, ensuring their rights and needs are upheld.
• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups to enhance understanding of mental health disorders.
• Coordinate discharge planning meetings to ensure smooth transitions from detox to further treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our detox center primarily serves individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The patient demographics range in age and background, necessitating a nuanced understanding of various mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety, and psychosis. As an LCSW, your expertise will be instrumental in helping these individuals navigate their recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working within detox or substance use treatment settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and the ability to manage acute situations effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
