Bethany School - Kindergarten Classroom Aide
Position Overview

Bethany School seeks a part-time Kindergarten Classroom Aide for the 2026–2027 school year. The Kindergarten Classroom Aide works closely with the homeroom teacher to support student learning and foster a warm, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Working under the direction of the classroom teacher, the aide supports the daily rhythm of the kindergarten classroom, including instruction, routines, transitions, activities, and student supervision. The aide serves as a collaborative classroom partner who follows the teacher’s lead while also taking initiative to anticipate and respond to the needs of students and the classroom. Through positive engagement and consistent support, the aide helps create an environment in which young children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Primary Responsibilities
The Kindergarten Classroom Aide will:

Support daily classroom activities, routines, transitions, and student supervision.

Assist with small-group and individual instruction, particularly in reading and math.

Help prepare and facilitate hands-on learning activities, crafts, and instructional materials.

Reinforce classroom expectations and contribute to a positive, nurturing classroom community.

Provide positive encouragement and developmentally appropriate support to students.

Fulfill assigned supervision duties, including morning arrival, lunch, and recess.
Qualifications
A college degree with some training in child development and elementary education is preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in a school-type setting.
