Job description

Title: Youth Engagement Associate

About Beth El: Beth El Synagogue is a dynamic Jewish community that inspires members of all ages to embrace Torah, Avodah, and G’milut Chesed. We are a Conservative, Egalitarian synagogue.

About Beth El’s Youth Department: Beth El’s Youth Department engages hundreds of young people, from newborns and their families to high school seniors - and everyone in between!

Opportunities to participate in and learn about Jewish life abound for youth of all ages. Regular, formal programming begins at 2 years-old with weekly Childcare on Shabbat (Saturday) mornings. It continues with BESTY, our Shabbat morning camp-style program for elementary schoolers. After our students become B’Mitzvah, they engage in one or more of our teen programs - in particular our youth group, BERUSY.

About the Youth Engagement Associate: Beth El’s first-ever Youth Engagement Associate is both a behind-the-scenes and front-facing role, serving roughly 50% of their time in each way. They support the Director and the operations of the Youth Department in administrative and congregant-facing ways.
