Overview

The company is seeking an experiencedCustody Accounting Business Analyst to support a strategic transformation initiative involving the modernization of a legacy custody accounting platform.

This role is designed for a senior Business Analyst who understands how custody accounting platforms operate within IBM mainframe environments and can bridge the gap between business operations and technology teams.

The consultant will document current state processes, define future state capabilities, support modernization planning, and help ensure the successful migration toward Finbourne.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document functional and technical business requirements.
• Analyze existing custody accounting processes and workflows.
• Document current state mainframe functionality and operational dependencies.
• Define future state business processes supporting modernization.
• Produce functional specifications and user stories.
• Partner with architects, developers, and operations teams.
• Support data mapping and reconciliation activities.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders.
• Assist with system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Support production implementation planning.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years as a Business Analyst within financial services.
• Deep understanding of Custody Accounting.
• Experience supporting IBM mainframe-based custody platforms.
• Knowledge of batch processing and accounting cycles.
• Strong understanding of securities processing and asset servicing.
• Experience documenting complex operational workflows.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Securities Services experience.
• Finbourne implementation exposure.
• Mainframe modernization initiatives.
• Agile delivery methodologies.
• JIRA and Confluence.
