Summary of Position:
The Returns Specialist is responsible for receiving, documenting and unpacking packages according to Benchmark requirements related to returns. Packages include new and used equipment for financial institutions and require care in handling. The Returns Specialist must determine if items are in the system properly and make the decision with whom to follow up with for assignment. One must also be able to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive returns shipments in the warehouse according to Benchmark procedures.
- Validate within the system whether the unit has a valid ID number to support the return.
- Search and enter data into the ERP system to recognize receipt of the unit against a customer's RO
- Process and follow up on items damaged by shipping and utilizing FED X and UPS online systems.
- Process equipment that must be shipped to vendors that supply warranty repair and/or
replacement.
- Delivering ready material to specified areas for repair once return has been validated in the ERP system.
- Identify and report any problems or discrepancies related to customer returned equipment,
condition of equipment or receiving issues.
- Maintains an orderly appearance of the warehouse.
- Assist other work assigned as needed or requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Basic computer skills, data entry and retrieval
- Ability to work independently and on a team in a time sensitive environment.
- Verify detailed information per incoming documentation.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure
- Flexible, dependable, ability to follow directions and possess a positive attitude.

- Individual should be able to become creative and offer alternative ways for processing to improve the position to optimize productivity

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bending, stooping, standing, and walking.
