Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) delivers one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental conditions under the direct and ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCaBA. The RBT implements individualized behavior support plans and skill-acquisition programs, collects accurate data, and supports clients and families across home, school, and community settings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs as designed by the supervising BCBA/BCaBA, with fidelity to the written protocol.
• Collect, record, and graph session data on target behaviors (frequency, duration, interval, task analysis, ABC data) accurately and in real time.
• Provide 1:1 direct therapy in home, school, and/or community settings, adapting delivery to the client's environment while maintaining treatment integrity.
• Use evidence-based teaching procedures, including discrete trial training, natural environment training, prompting hierarchies, and reinforcement systems.
• Respond safely and appropriately to challenging behavior using approved crisis/behavior-reduction procedures, and document any incidents per company policy.
• Communicate professionally and collaboratively with caregivers, teachers, and other team members regarding session observations, within scope of practice.
• Attend and actively participate in supervision meetings, staff trainings, and team meetings with the supervising BCBA.
• Maintain accurate, timely session notes and documentation in compliance with funding source (e.g., Medicaid) and company requirements.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, and funder regulations.
• Travel between client locations as scheduled and arrive prepared and on time for all sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or eligibility to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; some college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum age 18.
• Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening and clearable Florida child abuse/neglect and criminal history check.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, as the role requires travel between client sites.
• Ability to pass and maintain RBT competency assessments administered by the supervising BCBA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
• Experience with data-collection software/applications (e.g., Catalyst, CentralReach, or similar EMR/data systems).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Medicaid Certification a plus

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Physical activity: Ability to sit, kneel, bend, and move quickly to physically prompt, redirect, or ensure client safety, including brief physical restraint procedures if trained and required by the client's plan.
• Lifting: Ability to lift and/or assist a child weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed for safety.
• Stamina: Ability to actively engage with clients for the duration of a session (typically 24 hours), including sitting on the floor, standing, and walking.
• Sensory: Ability to remain calm, attentive, and responsive in a home, school, or community environment that may include noise, movement, and unpredictable behavior.
