NYS Certified PCA/HHA – 12-Hour Shifts Available

East End Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable New York State Certified PCAs and HHAs to join our growing team. If you are passionate about providing exceptional one-on-one care and want to work for a respected home care agency, we encourage you to apply today!

12-Hour Shifts Available

Please Note: This posting is to recruit qualified caregivers for placement on our active applicant registry. Applying for this position does not guarantee employment, a specific shift, or immediate client placement. Qualified applicants who successfully complete our hiring process and meet all New York State and agency requirements will be considered for available client assignments as they become available based on client needs, scheduling, qualifications, and geographic location.

Responsibilities
  • Prompt and remind clients to take prescribed medications.

  • Assist clients with ambulation, mobility, and transfers.

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.

  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.

  • Assist with prescribed exercises and activities of daily living.

  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, and community outings when appropriate.

  • Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe home environment.

  • Observe and promptly report changes in a client's condition to the supervising agency.

  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations.

  • Provide companionship while promoting each client's dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • Current New York State PCA or HHA Certification.

  • Must meet all New York State and agency employment requirements.

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in home care, healthcare, or a related caregiving field preferred.

  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.

  • Ability to work independently and follow an individualized Plan of Care.

  • Physically able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform essential job functions.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as client assignments require.

  • Hoyer Lift experience preferred for applicable cases.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $23.00–$25.00 per hour
