The Opportunity

Drive Excellence in Commercial and Multi-Family Construction.

Beaudin Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to serve as a vital onsite leader for our Portland metro area projects. In this role, you will be the critical link bridging the gap between project planning and high-quality physical execution.

This position offers the incredible chance to refine your field management skills under the direct guidance of our seasoned Lead Superintendents while directly influencing the local skyline. If you want to be empowered to drive daily progress, manage onsite operations, and grow your career with a premier general contractor that rewards professionalism, we want you on our job site.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be a driving force on the job site, supporting field execution, documentation, and safety to ensure projects finish on time and under budget:

  • Site Leadership & Supervision: Support the Lead Superintendent in managing daily onsite construction operations. Assist in supervising field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely, safe, and elite-quality work.
  • Scheduling & Logistics: Maintain and actively distribute critical project schedules, including highly accurate weekly 3-week lookaheads. Maintain highly organized material staging, site logistics, and equipment tracking.
  • Project Documentation: Document and upload precise daily job logs, site photos, and safety reports. Help manage RFIs, change orders, and subcontractor coordination seamlessly.
  • Quality Control (QA/QC): Assist with Total Quality Control implementation to minimize expensive rework and post-completion warranty issues.
  • Safety & Compliance: Conduct thorough safety orientations and daily site oversight. Ensure strict code compliance and adherence to jobsite safety programs.
  • Inspections & Closeout: Coordinate critical site inspections (building, fire marshal, elevator, etc.), manage meticulous punch lists, and support project closeout and handover procedures.
  • Site Communication: Foster and maintain highly positive, professional relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal project managers.
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
  • Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in commercial or multi-family construction field management.
  • Industry Knowledge: The proven ability to accurately read and interpret complex construction plans, specifications, and submittals.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with modern construction documentation platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, Jonas Premier, Dropbox, Fieldwire, or equivalent). Familiarity with MS Project and the Microsoft Office Suite is highly preferred.
  • Leadership & Mindset: Strong leadership and professionalism in supervising field operations. You must possess the ability to effectively delegate, ensure absolute accountability across field teams, and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organization: Elite organizational skills with a rigorous attention to detail and strict safety compliance.
  • Logistics: The ability to work onsite daily and coordinate across multiple job functions and teams.
Compensation & Premium Benefits

We provide a supportive environment focused on your long-term career growth. We offer a robust total rewards package:

  • Top-Tier Salary: $70,000 $90,000 per year strictly based on your experience.
  • Financial Growth: A lucrative Performance-Based Bonus Program and a Retirement Savings Program to support your long-term financial health.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage.
  • Work-Life Balance: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), including Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Leave.
  • Equipped for Success: A premium Technology Package (including a smartphone or tablet for field use), company-provided logoed attire, and Travel Incentives!
