Position Overview

Baystate Therapeutics is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This full-time role is centered around outpatient services, focusing on restoring patient mobility and enhancing their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. Work Environment

Located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, our Rehabilitation Center offers a collaborative and engaging workplace environment. Our team of experienced therapists and support staff work together daily, creating a supportive atmosphere that fosters professional development. The work schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while accommodating the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients’ physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans that align with their specific goals.
  • Deliver one-on-one patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced treatment modalities, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
  • Maintain an appropriate caseload while dedicating sufficient time to each patient, ensuring personalized attention throughout their treatment journey.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure recovery milestones are achieved.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to align treatment strategies.
  • Promote non-surgical treatment options and educate patients on lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and wellness.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, to ensure compliance and effective communication.
  • Encourage and motivate patients through their rehabilitation journey, building trusting relationships that support their emotional and physical recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Baystate Therapeutics, you will primarily work with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. Our facility supports a diverse patient demographic, and your expertise will help restore their functionality and independence through tailored rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with a clean record free from sanctions or board proceedings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in therapeutic exercise programming.
  • Proficient in utilizing EMR systems to maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices through continuing education.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred, particularly within some specialty areas such as sports rehabilitation or orthopedic recovery.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans that address various physical therapy challenges.
  • Experience working in collaborative healthcare environments, showcasing a team-oriented approach to patient care.
