Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will:

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at managing disabilities and enhancing muscle function.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ functional abilities using diagnostic tests specific to muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring that care plans are adhered to effectively.
• Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and other physical agents to facilitate recovery.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to discuss treatment strategies and share insights on patient care.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Advise clients and their families on managing physical therapy devices and overall health strategies.
• Engage with clients in a supportive manner, promoting motivation and commitment to their rehabilitation processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from adolescents to older adults who require physical therapy due to various conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, chronic pain management, and neurological disorders. You will play a crucial role in guiding these patients through their recovery journey, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care tailored specifically to their unique needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated passion for patient care and commitment to clinical excellence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist is highly preferred, applicants with strong clinical skills and a passion for patient outcomes will also be considered. Experience in outpatient settings, particularly with diverse patient populations, will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

Baylor Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, reflective of experience and credentials. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
