Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an OB Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health‑care campus featuring the new 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital and the Health & Wellness Institute, which offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults. The hospital maintains strong academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Opportunity Details

• Practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating the perioperative process, in close friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff.
• Our Department is equipped with all required modern equipment for the safest practice of anesthesia, including video‑laryngoscopy, 2 SonoSite ultrasound machines for vascular cannulation and regional anesthesia, 2 Ambu FOB systems with disposal scopes used in thoracic anesthesia and difficult airway management, FloTrack system for intraoperative hemodynamic management, AccuView vein‑finding system, etc.
• Provide OB anesthesia to under‑served patient populations.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education programs to maintain and upgrade skills.
• Flexible schedule available within evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for a NYS license
• Board certification in anesthesiology
• Must complete an OB fellowship or hold 2 years of OB anesthesia experience
• Experience working with an under‑served patient population preferred

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary:$421,000* (board eligible);$431,000* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per‑diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $601,000** (board eligible) and $611,000** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per‑diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per‑diem hours worked per week is $104,000***
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
