Work Environment

You will work primarily in clients' homes, providing therapy in a comfortable and familiar environment that can significantly enhance the effectiveness of treatment. This onsite role allows for meaningful interaction with patients and their families, where you can observe real-life challenges and successes. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for children and adults to assess their physical abilities, challenges, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on specific goals, ensuring that each patient receives targeted care based on their unique circumstances.
• Regularly reassess patients’ progress by evaluating clinical signs and symptoms, analyzing the effectiveness of the treatment, and adjusting therapy goals as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including SOAP notes, progress reports, and care plans, using our electronic record system.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, informing them about expected outcomes and potential challenges during recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals at Back Bay Physical Therapy to integrate services for clients receiving multiple therapies.
• Advocate and embody the core values of Back Bay Physical Therapy, promoting a positive work culture and engaging in community outreach initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and the elderly, each with varying physical therapy needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a wide range of age groups and cultural backgrounds, helping them overcome physical limitations and attain their personal therapy goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Current, unrestricted licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of Connecticut.
• Possess strong clinical skills to conduct evaluations and provide treatments effectively in both in-person and telehealth settings when appropriate.
• A demonstrated passion for working with a diverse patient population, showcasing flexibility to adapt to varying needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding adeptly to changing situations and patient demands.
• Strong teamwork skills, with a commitment to enhancing the patient experience through collaboration and superior customer service.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a home care setting or community therapy practice is a plus.
• Experience in developing multidisciplinary care plans and working closely with other healthcare providers.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is favorable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
