Pizzaiolo Mark Iacono of Lucali has opened a slice shop in Carroll Gardens, a sister restaurant to Lucali. Our neighborhood pizzeria serves Sicilian pies and slices, along with a selection of other menu items and delicious beverages. We are currently seeking a Pizza Cook to join our team.

The Pizza Cook will work with a three-deck electric oven. A Food Handler’s Permit is required.

Primary Duties:

• Follow prep lists created by the chef to plan daily duties.
• Label and stock all ingredients so they are organized and easily accessible.
• Portion, stock, and maintain fresh ingredients and seasonings for garnishing.
• Maintain a clean and orderly oven station.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

• Prior experience preparing food in a professional kitchen.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate clearly and legibly.
• High school diploma or equivalent culinary training certificate.
• NYC Food Handler’s Permit required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
