Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments using various evidence-based assessment tools to accurately diagnose patients and establish personalized treatment plans.
  • Employ a range of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to effectively address patient needs and foster their mental wellness.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards, ensuring security and privacy in all practices.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, participating in regular case reviews and discussions to enhance patient care and develop integrated treatment approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and community resources to equip them for their road to recovery.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and treatment methodologies, implementing new techniques into your practice to optimize patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele facing various mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. Our detox center offers a specialized environment where you can help clients navigate their challenges and achieve sustainable recovery through individualized care plans.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
  • Proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy and the ability to personalize treatment strategies based on individual assessments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong therapist-client relationships and enhancing treatment effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate challenging cases and support patients in overcoming obstacles.
  • A collaborative spirit that respects the importance of teamwork and shared knowledge in achieving common goals for client progress.
Preferred Experience

Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or clinical social work, providing them with the practical skills necessary to succeed in this position. Familiarity with detox and rehabilitation practices is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
