About the Role:

The Car Washer plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction and enhancing the overall image of the retail trade business. This position involves thorough cleaning of both the interior and exterior of cars, using appropriate tools and cleaning agents to achieve high-quality results. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. The Car Washer contributes to a positive customer experience by delivering vehicles that meet or exceed cleanliness expectations. Ultimately, this position supports the business by promoting repeat patronage and positive word-of-mouth through excellent service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning products.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning of vehicles.
  • Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in car washing or automotive detailing.
  • Familiarity with different types of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive washing, drying, and polishing of vehicle exteriors to remove dirt, grime, and stains.
  • Clean and vacuum vehicle interiors, including seats, carpets, mats, and windows, ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
  • Inspect vehicles for any damage or maintenance issues and report findings to management promptly.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

Skills:

The required skills such as attention to detail and physical stamina are essential for effectively cleaning vehicles to a high standard and managing the physical demands of the job.
