Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Our Guest Services team provides white-glove, concierge service to support our restaurant managers, team members, and guests. As a Temporary Guest Services Specialist, you'll engage directly with guests through phone calls and emails helping to resolve concerns and provide the gracious hospitality BJ's is known for.

We're looking for someone who exudes gracious hospitality and possesses the natural ability to win people over through empathy and quick action. You'll have a strong desire to resolve guest concerns in the utmost professional way, with a focus on providing a quick and positive resolution.

You'll be working within and interacting with our Operations Services team, a high-energy, do-whatever-it-takes-to-make-things-happen team. We strive to make the impossible possible!

How You'll Contribute

• Show up to work excited and ready to conquer the world!
• Be the functional expert when it comes to guest recovery, with the goal of ensuring the guest is happy by the time your interaction ends. It's about the guest and their perspective of BJ's.
• Connect with guests via phone and email to resolve concerns and respond to questions regarding our Loyalty Program, missing points, recent visit feedback, compliments, BJ's Brewhouse Beer Club, and general inquiries.
• Remember that feedback helps us excel and we love hearing from our guests!
• Be an active part of the team and participate in team-building activities.
• Actively participate in team brainstorming and synergy sessions. We regularly meet to discuss projects and provide status updates, so be ready to be innovative. No idea is too small or too big around here!
• Provide general administrative support.
• Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• Restaurant operations team member knowledge preferred, including experience as a Quality Coordinator, bookkeeper, server, host, bartender, or similar restaurant role.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A high level of accuracy and typing speed (60-80 wpm preferred).
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
• Knowledge of BJRI internal applications, including BDS, KDS, Table Management, POSI, and HotSchedules.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and relational databases.
• A high sense of urgency.

Work Schedule

This position is based at the BJ's Restaurants Restaurant Support Center in Huntington Beach, California and works Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work.

Pay Range

$25.00-$30.00 per hour
