BHC Management, LLC provides integrated care in a primary care setting in a Rural Health Clinic, serving commercial, Medicaid and Medicare insurances. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (Family/Primary Care, FNP or physician assisant) to provide medical and primary care services to this patient population as part of an interdisciplinary team. The NP delivers general medical care, manages the physical-health needs that intersect with behavioral health treatment, and coordinates with the psychiatric and behavioral health staff. Because this role serves Medicare beneficiaries, the clinician must be Medicare-enrolled (or eligible to enroll) and document services to Medicare medical-necessity standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide primary and medical care to patients (history and physical exams, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostics).
• Manage the medical/physical-health needs of patients in including metabolic monitoring and management related to medications (in coordination with the prescribing psychiatric provider).
• Prescribe and manage medications within the FNP scope of practice and prescriptive protocols.
• Provide medical clearance, screenings, and ongoing medical management as part of integrated care.
• Coordinate care with the psychiatric provider (PMHNP/physician), therapists, counselors, nursing, and case management; refer to specialty or psychiatric care as appropriate.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR consistent with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 (where applicable), and Medicare/Medicaid medical-necessity and billing requirements.
• Query the Arkansas Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) before prescribing controlled substances, as required.
• Maintain compliance with the collaborative practice agreement and prescriptive protocols with the collaborating physician.
Required Qualifications (Arkansas)
• Master's (MSN) or Doctoral (DNP) degree from an accredited Family/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program or
• Master's degree from an ARC-PA–accredited PA program

• Medicare enrollment: Active Medicare enrollment with a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI), or eligibility and willingness to enroll prior to seeing Medicare patients. Where the practice bills, the clinician reassigns billing rights to the practice/RHC as applicable.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required health screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience providing primary care in an integrated behavioral health, community health, or RHC setting, but not necessary.
• Experience serving patients with co-occurring medical health needs.
