Job description

The Recruiting Specialist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for attracting, engaging, and onboard top talent to support Balise's business needs. This position works within the human resources department, reporting to the Human Resources Manager.
Core Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships within the retail automotive market and proactively engage both active and passive candidates. Serve as a Balise brand ambassador to promote career opportunities.
  • Create, update, and maintain job postings within the company ATS.
  • Coordinate orientation dates with new hires and the HR Generalist.
  • Research and build relationships through colleges, employment agencies, social media, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Coordinate, attend, and represent Balise at job fairs and career events, particularly with our technical schools' partners to support technician and trade focused hiring needs.
  • Conduct background checks, motor vehicle checks, and reference checks.
  • Develop strong relationships with hiring managers to understand talent needs and ensure job expectations are clearly communicated.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to attract passive job seekers.
  • Track and report key staffing metrics to measure and forecast hiring activity.
  • Maintain consistent follow up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a timely, efficient recruitment process.
  • Participate in HR initiatives and other HR projects as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in full cycle recruitment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work collaboratively
  • Solid understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle; ATS experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while maintaining strong organization and follow through.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and map talent based on role and market needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in general HR functions is a plus
