Job Summary:

AXIS Industries is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Painter to support our coatings and blasting operations. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying protective coatings, maintaining equipment, and ensuring work areas remain hazard-free. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple application methods and thrives in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply coatings to surfaces using brush, roller, conventional spray, airless, thermal spray, and other specialty methods.
• Prepare surfaces for coating using hand tools, power tools, and blasting equipment.
• Support paint crew operations including painting, blasting of pipes, structures, etc.
• Measure and mix paint accurately using a paint mixer.
• Monitor and maintain blast pots, paint pots, and breathing air box during operations.
• Perform daily general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Visually inspect surfaces for coating readiness.
• Clean and store paint tools and equipment after use.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, free from hazards.
• Store and dispose of chemicals per AXIS policies and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with industrial painting and blasting equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications and Requirements: Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the role:
- Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance).
- Must be capable of carrying/wearing harness and work belt weighing 2550 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, trailers, trucks, and scaffolding at high elevations.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, color vision, and focus adjustment.
