Role Description This full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role is based in Spokane, WA. The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for new construction, renovations, and specialty engineering projects across various materials and building types. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations, developing and reviewing CAD drawings and models, coordinating with architects and other disciplines, and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes and standards. The role also involves reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, supporting construction administration, and contributing to project documentation and reports. The Structural Engineer will collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to deliver accurate, timely, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering principles, including building codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to perform Structural calculations and Analysis for a variety of structural systems and materials.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows for producing and reviewing structural drawings and models.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; eligibility and intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly valued.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with structural design software (Enercalc, Risa3d) and familiarity with construction practices is beneficial.
