Position Overview

Avon Mental Health Counseling is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise to provide compassionate, high-quality mental health care to a diverse range of clients. Our salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 50,000 and 80,000 per year, along with a generous sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and establish therapeutic goals.
  • Design, implement, and oversee evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, facilitate couple’s therapy, and lead group therapy sessions employing appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care, incorporating insights from other specialists as necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards to safeguard confidentiality.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, case review discussions, and ongoing training to further professional expertise.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, including adults facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Our clients come from varied backgrounds, and we emphasize cultural competence in our therapeutic approaches to effectively meet their unique needs and goals.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
  • A Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting individual and group therapy in mental health settings.
  • Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to mental health treatment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • A commitment to ethical counseling practices and theorizing methods to protect client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in specialized areas such as addiction counseling, trauma-informed care, or mood and anxiety disorders.
  • Prior knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with group dynamics and facilitation skills to effectively lead group therapy sessions.
