Global Mobility Specialist III
The Global Mobility team is responsible for supporting the successful transition, integration, and ongoing experience of international healthcare professionals (HCPs) throughout their entire assignment lifecycle in the United States, from pre-arrival through the completion of their work assignment.
The Global Mobility Specialist III plays a vital role in preparing international healthcare professionals (HCPs) for successful transition and integration into life and work in the United States. This role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of pre-arrival and post-arrival support services through webinars, one-on-one calls, resource development, and personalized guidance as part of the Avant Transitions Program (ATP). The Global Mobility Specialist III ensures that HCPs are culturally, emotionally, and logistically prepared for both their professional assignments and personal acclimation into U.S. communities.
Essential functions of the job include serving as a trusted and professional representative of the Avant Healthcare Professionals program, building rapport with HCPs and fostering confidence and stability throughout the full transition lifecycle, from pre-arrival through active assignment. The specialist educates HCPs prior to arrival through webinars, virtual sessions, and individualized one-on-one calls, providing tools and resources that support cultural understanding, professional expectations, and logistical readiness.
Structured, proactive support is provided during the first 90 days of an HCP's assignment through scheduled check-in calls to assess adjustment, address concerns, and support successful cultural and workplace integration. Ongoing, on-assignment support is offered beyond the initial 90 days through as-needed outreach, responding to HCP-initiated requests and proactively engaging when cultural, personal, or professional concerns arise.
The specialist supports HCPs in navigating assignment-related challenges from a cultural assimilation and lifestyle adjustment perspective, helping them adapt to U.S. workplace norms, expectations, and community engagement. Continued education and guidance are delivered throughout the Avant Transitions Program (ATP) via live presentations, small group discussions, targeted resources, and individual one-on-one sessions to promote long-term assignment success.
Individualized resources and guidance on key relocation and lifestyle topics, including housing, transportation, budgeting, school enrollment, and family support needs such as spousal employment and childcare, are provided. The specialist develops, updates, and distributes on-assignment resources, newsletters, and educational materials to support ongoing engagement and support while HCPs are active on assignment.
Educational content, presentation materials, and resource guides are created, revised, and maintained to ensure alignment with current policies, best practices, and evolving cultural trends. Accurate and timely documentation is maintained in internal systems, capturing all communications, case notes, and support activities.
Collaboration closely with internal teams addresses challenges, escalates concerns appropriately, and implements tailored, effective solutions. Communication and coordination with external vendors, as needed, support HCP needs and facilitate timely issue resolution. Participation in weekly team meetings contributes updates, insights, and collaborative problem-solving to strengthen overall program delivery.
